Introduction

 

 Hi!

Welcome to ANKI FAST SEARCH. Made and designed by Radosław Młynarczyk. 

 Anki Fast Search is a script that helps look up words in multiple dictionaries at once. Its primary idea is to make flashcards in Anki faster. I believe that there are many people who would really like to use it in their own language learning process, therefore, I decided to create this blog.

How does it work?

It's nothing more than a HTML file transferred to this blog. By entering a word in one of the multiple-tabs-searchers you can find many definitions, conjugation, translations or even pronunciation that you would like to have on your flashcard in Anki.

INSTRUCTION

 1. Choose one of the languages above, under the blog's title.

 2. Choose your websites by clicking on the checkboxes (there will be more of them in the future) 

 3. Enter a word in your language.

 4. Click ENTER.

 5. Multiple tabs will open. (make sure that you unlocked pop-up windows&tabs in your browser)

 6. Look for whatever is interesting for you. You can combine multiple definitions, examples, pronunciation, pictures and create great Anki flashcards.

7. In order to close the tabs there are many ways depending on the device you use:

Windows/Mozilla Firefox: Right-click on the first tab , choose close multiple tabs and close tabs to the right.

 

iPhone/iPad:  open multi-tab view and swipe all the tabs which you don't need

 

Android: open multi-tab view and swipe all the tabs which you don't need

 

As for now there is no other, faster option to close the tabs. If you happen to find a new way please write to: radek.mlynarcz@gmail.com.
 

BROWSERS

The script doesn't work with all browsers. Thanks to feedback from users and my experience i managed to gather some apps&browers which are surely suitable:

Android: Samsung Internet
iOS (iPad/iPhone): Mozilla Firefox
Windows: Mozilla Firefox

 

LANGUAGES

As for 5th of October 2020 there are three languages: English, French and German. There will be more in the future. Currently working on: Spanish, Polish.

 

DEVELOPMENT

I am sure that everyone has different needs when it comes to resources used. Therefore I will be constantly developing this project. 

There will be new languages and new websites added in accordance with the feedback I get from users.

I will incorporate your proposals of websites within one week. Whole multisearch can be created within a month. The goal is: the more languages and resources the better!
